6.8 million Dutch people are active on Facebook daily (an ever increasing figure). This growth comes mainly from the 60+ target group. Instagram now has 1.2 million users, of which 900,000 use daily. LinkedIn, the biggest business like social media channel, has 4.2 million users of which 0.3 million use daily.

When you make an appointment with someone, or when you apply for a job, you don’t know if you will be googled. HR gladly uses this possibility and doesn’t just look at your LinkedIn profile, but also all your other social media pages. Women often like social media but rarely use the possibilities to present themselves properly or to screen themselvesf. This seems to be because these options are often somewhat more technical and they find this tricky.
