The statistics are well known: at the top especially, women are almost absent, and our numbers are barely increasing. Half a century since women first forced open the boardroom doors, our career trajectories still look very different from those of men.

Some observers say children change our priorities, and there is some truth in this claim. Other commentators point to cultural and institutional barriers to female success. There’s truth in that, too. But these explanations for the continued failure to break the glass ceiling are missing something more basic: women’s acute lack of confidence.

Many women, especially successful women in society, are plagued by the imposter syndrome; the fear of being found out. They believe that they are laxcompared to others. They “blame” their success on external factors instead of their own capabilities. These thoughts have a paralysing effect and stand in the way of success and happiness. This often proves to be a hurdle when faced with new challenges. Rationally, they know they are capable, but insecurity pops up at important moments nevertheless. They then flee the challenge, or set their personal standards extremely high and work as an incredible perfectionist. During this session you will learn to be in control of your own brain, to cope with these imposter thoughts and enhance your confidence.

Masterclass

Your Strength

During this masterclass we work in groups of two. In 2.5 hour sessions two participants will each be coached individually on confidence. One of the techniques used is Voice Dialogue. It is also ideal to observe this technique if you are not being coached at the time. By watching someone else’s session it enhances your own self-awareness and teaches the participants to become in control of their own brain.
